About Us:
elev8 is a behavioral health marketing agency built for treatment centers. We work with residential, IOP, and outpatient programs across the US, helping them grow census, improve payer mix, and build digital programs that actually work. Our clients are operators, not marketers; they need partners who understand both the clinical side and the growth side.
About The Role:
You will own the strategy and execution behind every website and landing page we build — migrating existing BH client sites into our AI tech stack, building net-new digital presences from scratch, and delivering high-converting landing pages for paid media campaigns. This is not a build-and-ship role. Every page you produce starts with data extraction, moves through keyword and architecture strategy, and ends with a QA pass that meets a specific technical and conversion standard.
In 90 days, you'll have led at least one full website migration, delivered a set of paid media landing pages independently, and demonstrated that you can run the full process — from client brief synthesis to live deployment — without hand-holding.
What You'll Do:
Extract everything about the client before you touch any build tool
- Google Ads: what keywords are converting, what audiences are performing, what landing pages are getting traffic
- Google Search Console: what queries the site already ranks for, what pages have impressions but low CTR, what's trending
- Semrush: keyword gaps, competitor analysis, current ranking positions, backlink profile
- CallTrackingMetrics: what call sources are driving volume, what landing pages are generating calls
- Microsoft Clarity: heatmaps, session recordings, rage clicks, scroll depth — what are real users actually doing on the site
- ClickUp: pull any existing audits, deliverables, or strategy documents the team has already produced for this client
- Client meetings and transcripts: what has the client said about their differentiators, their patients, their goals, their frustrations
Build the keyword and content strategy
- With the data in hand, conduct keyword research: primary keywords per service line, local modifiers, long-tail opportunity keywords, and competitor gap keywords
- Run SERP analysis on priority terms — what does the top-ranking content look like? What schema are competitors using?
- What content format is Google rewarding? What are the featured snippet opportunities?
- Map keywords to pages. Every page has a primary keyword and a set of supporting keywords. No two pages target the same primary keyword. This mapping becomes the foundation of the site architecture.
Define site architecture and taxonomy
- Build the full site architecture before any page is created. Every page accounted for: services pages, location pages, blog structure, resource pages, conversion-focused landing pages
- Define the URL taxonomy — how folders are structured, how location pages nest under service pages, how the hierarchy reads to both Google and a human visitor
- For migrations: map every existing URL to its new destination. The redirect strategy has to be complete and reviewed before any content moves. A botched redirect map can destroy a client's existing rankings overnight.
Structure and prepare assets for the AI build
- Before prompting any AI to build pages, you structure the inputs correctly. This means: client brand guidelines, approved copy, keyword targets per page, schema requirements, image assets with correct filenames and alt text, internal linking map, and CTA specifications — all organized in a folder structure the AI can read and reference
- Garbage in, garbage out. The quality of your AI output depends entirely on the quality of what you feed it.
Build pages with the AI tech stack
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, or the relevant AI tool to build pages within the Astro/Tailwind framework. As pages come out of the AI, you are reviewing and iterating: does the layout flow? Are the value propositions prominent? Is the CTA clear and unambiguous? Are there competing CTAs?
- Does the page address the right audience at the right emotional moment? Is local SEO embedded — maps, location signals, locally relevant content? You are not just prompting and accepting output — you are directing the AI like a creative director directs a team.
Add all technical SEO elements
- On every page, before QA: schema markup (Article, MedicalWebPage, FAQPage, LocalBusiness, HowTo — whatever applies), meta title and description, H1/H2/H3 hierarchy verified, internal links placed per the linking map, canonical tags, image compression and alt tags, medical reviewer attribution where applicable, CTA links verified and tracked, and any page-specific structured data. Validate schema using Google's Rich Results Test.
What You Bring:
- 5 years of experience with technical SEO — site architecture, redirect strategy, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and on-page optimization are not concepts you're learning, they're things you've done
- 5 years of experience in AI-assisted development tools — Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent — and the ability to read and edit code in Astro/Tailwind, even if you're not a senior engineer
- Proficiency in Google Search Console and Semrush — not just awareness, but regular use for keyword research, SERP analysis, and post-launch performance monitoring
- 3 years of experience with Vercel and GitHub for deployments — you understand the workflow, can read build logs, and can troubleshoot a failed deploy
- Strong understanding of conversion page design — you know what a landing page needs to earn a form fill from someone in crisis, and you design for that person, not for what looks good in a screenshot
How You're Measured:
- Number of pages built or migrated per week
- Landing pages delivered per paid media request
- Core Web Vitals scores (LCP, CLS, FID/INP)
- Technical SEO score at launch
- On-page optimization checklist completion rate
- Post-launch performance (organic impressions, click-through rate, and conversion rate)
