The Rasmussen Group is thankful for its many rivers to cross. It is the umbrella company for midwestern heavy construction, highway, bridge, and marine contractor Jensen Construction Company and heavy hauler Argee Transport. Other group companies stripe roads, manufacture concrete, demolish structures, and haul aggregates. The company has built many bridges over the Missouri River (particularly in the Des Moines area), as well as over other central US rivers. Former president James Rasmussen married into the Jensen Construction family business in 1960; the holding company was established in 1988. James died in 2003; his son, Kurt, runs the organization.
