The Georgia Institute of Technology, commonly known as Georgia Tech, is one of the country's top engineering schools for both graduate and undergraduate students. The university also offers degrees through the Colleges of Architecture, Sciences, Computing, and Management, and the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. It has an enrollment of roughly 20,000 students and a student-teacher ratio of 23:1. Along with its main campus in Atlanta, Georgia Institute of Technology operates satellite campuses in Savannah, Georgia, as well as in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The Georgia Institute of Technology was founded in 1885 as the Georgia School of Technology.
