Standard for the industry. Initial recruiter screen to get on the same page, learn about each other, and what the rest of the process looked like. After was 4 tech rounds: dsa, databases, sys des, and collaborative troubleshooting.

Engineering can be pretty tedious, and it's hard to get all the questions right. Several follow-ups, even if you finish coding, ensure you understand how the code scales and possible pitfalls.

Phone screen, technical coding round, system design round, final round with hiring manager. The technical coding round was very easy especially for a senior position, but the recruiter send an automated rejection email immediately after.
