It was not a pleasant experience. They were trying to pressure me to take the job on the spot while admitting they were understaffed and how I would be a team of one. Then when the offer letter came in later, the terms were changed to more of their favor than what was presented verbally. When I declined, they kept asking why I would decline the job offer when I noted the difference in terms as the main reason though I had other reasons I kept to myself. I did not appreciate them trying to childishly undermine and investigate my answer of no when I have a right to decline as an interviewee and especially if there were clear red flags from the beginning.
