I submitted my application online, and a Solera’s recruiter contacted me. We had a 30-minute call and went over my resume. He moved forward and sent my info to the hiring Director. We had an hour conversation, and he wanted to move forward as well. I then had to speak with SIX other “stakeholders” (30 – 45-minute discussions/interviews) over the course of three or four weeks (including on my vacation out of the country).
Once the last call was over, the recruiter called me that evening to congratulate me and made a verbal offer. We did preliminary salary negotiations, and he was going to get it all approved the next day. About mid-morning the next day he lets me know the offer is getting all the signatures it needs and he would send it to me when it was ready for review. Then, he calls me at the end of the day to let me know they are withdrawing the offer and are going to re-strategize how to approach getting what they want to be accomplished. Talk about a kick in the teeth!
As I was speaking with so many people I got the idea they really didn’t know what they wanted or how to get there and I honestly feel like I dodged a bullet. Buyer beware...
