I have gone as far as the initial phone screen and think that’s more than enough.
I was surprised at the recruiter’s obvious lack of knowledge in the technology sector. She was awkward I speaking of the company’s product, as if reading directly from a prepared statement.
No mention of basic financial status - not even if the company was public.
The kicker, however, was the description of the CEO. I quote: “He’s a very nice man. A good Christian man.”
WTAF.
There is ZERO place for that in business. Everything in me wanted to call this unqualified woman on her absolute unprofessionalism, but I didn’t. I was too dumbfounded by it all.
Is this really what this company is about? Is it possible in this day and age?
Unexceptable.
