After submitting my application, I received a call to set up a phone screen with HR. The HR recruiter was set to call at 4:00 p.m., but the hour came and went. I emailed to see what happened, and the recruiter called to apologize, saying another interview went long. It felt a little disrespectful of my time, but I understand; these things happen. We rescheduled for 5:30. The interview felt like it went well, but then no one ever got back to me, even when I sent an email asking for a status update. It's OK if I'm not what th5ey're looking for, or if another candidate is a better fit. It is unacceptable to ghost candidates.
