      Entrevista para Java Developer

      25 oct 2018
      Candidato de entrevista anónimo
      Sin ofertas
      Experiencia negativa
      Entrevista difícil

      Solicitud

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en RELX

      Entrevista

The first round was a basic screening round which involved just 2-3 technical questions to test your communication skills The second round was a full technical round where I was asked questions on Spring and it lasted for about 15-20m The third round was again a technical round which was conducted by an onsite product owner. This was a telephonic roind and lasted for about 30m. The fourth round was a verbal assessment round which requires us to write email responses for the scenarios given. The fifth and sixth round were HR rounds which involved salary discussion and such Well the interview process should be over right, that's what I thought. They then said that there will be another round which is an online aptitude test. Shouldn't this round be kept initially or atleast before the HR rounds? I couldn't clear the aptitude test and hence was rejected in the final round. They didn't even update on the fact that I was not selected and did not even answer my calls or emails for nearly one month. My suggestion: If you want to keep an aptitude test keep it as the first round or don't keep it at all. It's the technical knowledge that matters.

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en RELX (Chicago, IL) en ene 2016

      Entrevista

Phone screen with manager, followed by a phone screen with 2 developers, and then an in person interview. The in person interview consisted of 3 sessions: one with 2 developers doing a coding exercise, one with 2 developers discussing Java and development topics, and one with the manager. I did well in the phone screens and the in person discussion. I did not do well on the in person coding problem of coding a Mars Rover. They had IntelliJ (which I have never used) setup. First they told me to start writing JUnits. It was not enough time to actually code this, so I just discussed how I would design it.

      Preguntas de entrevista [3]

      Pregunta 1

Collaborative coding during phone screen - FizzBuzz and Palendrome.
      Responder pregunta

      Pregunta 2

LinkedList vs ArrayList, 2 types of Exceptions, How a Hash Map works, Stub vs Mock. Basic javascript and Hiebernate.

      Pregunta 3

In the in person interview they ask me to code a Mars Rover. They had Intellij setup for me to use.
