Manager will take initiative to shortlist candidate and initiate primary discussion. Hiring Process may contain 2-3 rounds of technical interviews followed by one round of Hr-Interview.
Salary negotiation can be started from Second round of Interview and get finalized into subsequent Hr- Interviews.Initial Offer will always be higher than Competitor so it's acceptable.
After Successful boarding, subsequent salary increment on year-on-year basis will be pathetic.
For a Solution Architect working with OCI services, the interview was straight forward. It only implied three rounds of interviews:
1. Regular screening call with a Sr. Recruiter.
2. Interview with Hiring Manager and a colleague of the same level I was applying to showing up a use case for a customer, business case and associated rationale.
3. Interview with another architect to very technical proficiency in cloud.
Oracle doesn´t use the STAR methodology that other companies such as Google, AWS, Apple or Meta leverage.

Very professional. The interviewer asked questions that spanned over various systems, cloud, and on premise. They were very accommodating with the changing schedule that I had. I would highly recommend applying for this company

Do you have any interest in AI and the innerworkings within OCI?
First had an HR screen for 30 min, then separate interviews with three people who would be peers with me who were in the department and a manager. HR was a bit slow but peers and manager were great.
