I did not apply for this job. The recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. In hindsight, I should have declined. I had a screening with the recruiter, a 45 minute interview with a team member, and then they flew me out for the onsite. I thought the onsite went well. But I didn't get an offer. The last interviewer was a bit rude in that she rushed me out the door even though I had one more question. She was like "the interview is over now." It was apparent she hadn't read my resume either-asking if I had exposure to tech when I come from a tech company. I can't really pinpoint why I didn't get the offer. It's possible they thought it wasn't a fit in the sense that my business background is an outlier- they said they were looking for this type of background, but no one from the team had that background. I have no clue. Or maybe they somehow thought I was overqualified. The recruiter said they were looking at people with management consulting backgrounds. That is my background. But everyone I spoke to during the interview didn't seem to come from this. And you don't need to come from consulting to do this job. You're not doing any financial analysis, structuring business issues, etc. This just seems like a back office/ dead end role to me. No one could provide any substantive information on career trajectory. Preventing spam or inappropriate content just doesn't seem that interesting. And is not in alignment with what I want to do whatsoever.
The recruiter was nice and very professional throughout. That's the one thing I'll give them credit for.
