After applying for the position, a recruiter contacted me a few days later and suggested I make edits to my resume to tailor more to the position and resubmit the new resume to him. He was very polite and professional. I submitted the revised resume and over the course of about a month and a half went through an interview with the recruiter, a second interview with the team member leaving, then the hiring manager. I ultimately did not get the position, but the interviewing process went well.
