      Entrevista

      My interview was over the phone, and all the person asked me about myself was what salary I wanted. Nothing about my skills, background, why I was interested in the role— nothing. The interview was scheduled for 30 minutes. It lasted about 4 minutes. I respect companies not wanting to waste time with candidates that may be out of their salary range, but if that is all you care about be up front. They could have asked that in the application process, rather than making me carve out time from my day for an interview. Also, salaries are typically negotiated, so no matter what someone gives as their salary range expectations, that usually is something you at least ask “are you flexible?”. Maybe their range is out of scope but once you talk more about other benefits it may work out. Either way, it felt very rude and superficial and a gigantic waste of an interview. They will miss a lot of top talent if they continue to recruit this way. It’s rather soulless
