I was cold called by an insightly recruiter. We had a great conversation. She surmised I was a good fit. A week later I got a standard rejection email. I messaged the hiring manager asking for detail supporting his decision to not move forward with my candidacy and received no constructive feedback. I know this is standard operating procedures for lots of companies, but it hardly helps me to pinpoint my professional weak spots, not to mention a sense that the hiring manager feels superior to me.
