Horrible experience. 1st interview was about 30 minutes via zoom. It was brief but good. The 2nd interview was about an hour via zoom. He didn't bother to turn on his camera which was a distraction during my interview. I was not given the option to turn off my camera which would have been better than speaking to a blank screen with initials. The interviewer asked me to follow up in two weeks (specific date provided) regarding next steps via email. He stated feel free to email him directly should I have any additional questions about the role. I did email him with a thank you message and two follow up questions. He did not respond to either of my emails. I emailed per his instructions on the specified date two weeks following our initial interview regarding next steps. He never responded. Ghosted. Candidates invest a lot of time, preparation, and energy applying and interviewing for opportunities. It's disrespectful to lead a candidate on and simply ghost them. Have the decency to respectfully dismiss them from the process vs wasting their time with false hope.
