      Entrevista

      The lead Freeman recruiter found me on LinkedIn and urged me to apply for the position. She was extremely nice and so were the two execs from the marketing team. I liked that there was one male and one female to interview me, as it felt very balanced this way. In previous interviews, I've had some very bad experiences where there was all one gender. This felt very even and the process was quite succinct. The questions were very much soft-ball questions, nothing too difficult. I wouldn't have minded answering more challenging questions, but they didn't come up. Each interview lasted about 30 minutes. While I didn't get the position for this content director role, I really appreciated how nice everyone was and that they didn't waste too much of my time. I got the feeling that they already had their minds made up on who they were looking for specifically. I still keep in touch with the lead Freeman recruiter, because she's made this process positive for me. She's also helped provide some valuable professional insight on a very bad experience I had with a previous staffing company. She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She was able to guide me and help me see certain red flags. Although they ultimately went with a different candidate, the interview with Freeman was one of my better experiences. The only thing I would say is that it would be nice if they simplified and updated their application process on their website, it's a bit outdated. Other than that, I would be open to working for them in the future should another position become available. I love that they've been around for 100 years and they're a family ran company.
