      Solicitud

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en CrowdStrike (Washington, DC) en nov 2020

      Entrevista

Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn (we had worked together previously). Had a 15-minute phone call to discuss a position that was just created to see if I was interested. I said yes so the recruiter forwarded my résumé on to the hiring manager. A few days later the recruiter came back and said the hiring manager liked my résumé so I should apply through the career portal to get interviews scheduled. I had an interview scheduled with the hiring manager and a peer a few days later. The 2:1 interview went really well, lasted about 45 minutes. There were a few difficult-ish questions but the tone was very congenial and conversational while also being professional. The role was for someone with a very specific skill set so questions revolved around that. I then reached out to the recruiter the following week to let him know another company I had interviewed with was working on an offer. He called me right away and asked if I could accomodate a 1:1 interview with a senior director within the next couple of hours. That was no problem for me. So that call went even better. I could tell this guy really cared about what he did, but he was also approachable and, again, professional. This was less of an interview and more of him giving me more information about the company (I think they already knew they wanted to make an offer so this call was more about persuading me to accept). Maybe 15 minutes after that interview the recruiter called to inform me they would be making me an offer. It was more competitive than expected and I accepted right away.

      Pregunta 1

Interviews are protected by an NDA which is standard for cybersecurity firms (so I have no idea why so many people here are confused by this)...
