Interviewer had a clear idea about what he wanted for the role, but the job description had absolutely nothing to do with what he had in mind (I feel like they probably just want a Java developer with 10 years of experience and don't want to pay for it?). He essentially dragged me out to the heart of downtown during rush hour, fully knowing what my resume looked like, then proceeded to rudely discredit my actual qualifications for the posted job and then ask me how confident I was with Java. I expressed that I was decent with Java, way better in other languages, but that some of the most difficult Java programming might be a little tough (depends on how the app is coded). This is the response that pretty much anyone worth his salt in Java should say and if anyone says otherwise he's being lied to. I let him know that I'd still be happy to take his Java tests but he didn't even bother following up, possibly assuming that I wouldn't be able to hack it I'd imagine. In reality, I'd probably be just fine in 99% of the questions asked. I could tell that this was a business that definitely did not have their cards lined up and they needed quite a bit of work on basic business practice before they should ever be taken seriously. Recommend avoiding for this or any other role.
