Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Con Edison
Entrevista
The interview process took about 5 months in total. I applied online and was contacted by email that the company was interested in me. The first step is to take a multi-part test which consisted of numerical cumputations, basic IQ questions, as well as technical steam plant questions. After came the interview. The interview was conducted by two operating managers. The interview was long (about 2 hours) and was a "cookie cutter" interview where all the questions they asked you were already printed on the form. The first part was 20-30 yes or no questions geared to asking if you would be willing to do (blank). Then the next section was a lengthy interview based on your resume and past experiences to see if you can actually operate. Overall it wasn't very difficult.

There was no one difficult question. Just be honest and you will do fine.

Sat down with HR representative and an operations dept. member. Everybody was pleasant and kind, didn't feel intimidated. It's been a number of years since my interview but I remember a lot of focus on ethical related questions. You see somebody doing something you know is wrong and they ask you to just keep it between you and them, what do you do? A supervisor orders you to do something you feel is wrong, what do you do? You make an error while operating a piece of equipment but it's not that big of a problem, what do you do?
