Cisco places a great deal of effort to hire new interns who can then work with the very best in the field. As per my experience the interview process comprises of phone interview and then HR. In my case a thorough interview with my potential technical supervisor was done. Questions were technical and behavioral both. All in all a good experience.
I only interviewed for my first Cisco Internship, and it was just one coding question in an IDE and language of my choice. Back then I only knew java, so I opened up eclipse and coded out what I could. I wasn't able to answer the question, but talking through my thought process definitely helped.

Assessment center of 3 parts, the first part you will have is a manager interview and then you have a technical presentation on a product and then you have a technical general interview.
