Phone interview conducted by HR recruiter, then Director along with colleague via telephone. In person interviewer was flexible with time so as not to compromise current position. Interview initiated with tour of facility and explanation of services & products managed out of that office proceeded by a series of behavioral questions. All in all the interviews were friendly, warm, and inviting.

ATK uses a variety of outside placement firms to find candidates. This was supposedly a confidential search since the incumbent was being replaced, but the job was posted to several job boards. The chief challenge is the job description ATK provides the placement firm bears little resemblance to the position ATK is hiring for, and since ATK doesn't provide the recruiter specifics, it's difficult to know what it being sought. You end up answering general questions to the best of your ability while wondering if the recruiter has really read your resume. If he had, he wouldn't have called. I clearly didn't have subject matter/domain knowledge in the area they were recruiting for. This should have been a simple phone screen that lasted a few minutes rather than a hour long conversation in which I kept repeating myself.
