Never heard from them after the first interview. Sent them emails to ask about the process and still didn’t get any answer. The interview itself was okay, lasted around 30 minutes

All the interviews with recruiters, and second stage interview was good. They were good at scheduling the interview too. However, there were 14 people total who interviewed me in a day. It lasted a whole day 8.30am - 5.45pm which included an hour presentation by me which was recorded! Very strange that they record interview presentations. I have a feeling they need ideas for their research. The interviewers (team) were nice. I have a complaint only about the interview structure and recording of my presentation. Also the last 30mins were scheduled with the head of their R&D and I was completely exhausted interviewing non stop for 7 hours before this one. They asked for references on the next day after the interview. The follow up was tedious and they didn’t get back until it was 2 weeks post the interview. After 2 weeks, when I heard from them finally they said they will now contact my references, but never contacted all of them. Only a couple, one was my PHD mentor who felt like the person on the other side of the line was not interested in listening to him and the second one was contacted after I had been told I am not hired. Not hired is fine but why should the company come ask for references and also dont treat them well, hire someone else and still talk to my references? This is utterly unprofessional and unacceptable. The information I shared with them in my presentation is with them now….i am not sure what they will do with it. I am glad I was not selected as my interview experience was really bad!
