Terrible recruiting process. The recruiter reached out to me, set up a call and discussed the role with bare minimum details. She said I would have a screening round with the Hiring Manager and it took her ~3 weeks to schedule this. Canceled on their end. Rescheduled it to the next week. Canceled again. Rescheduled it to 3 weeks later. So overall it took them over 6 weeks to schedule the first screening round. On the day of my interview, I am told I won’t be meeting with the HM, but a member on their team. My patience was definitely being tested. I was a tad disappointed because I wanted to meet the HM and learn more about her and the role. I receive the on-site confirmation via email and no call from recruiter. I asked her for tips/ prep for the interview and her advise was “Be yourself. Keep a bottle of water near you.” Thanks for nothing, lady. I met with the interviewers and I thought I did pretty well on the cases based on the feedback during the call. And then a week later, I followed up with the recruiter via email. 2 days later, I receive an automated email that they went forward with other candidates. Ghosted! If this is how Affirm treats anyone, that was a close call. Think twice before considering this firm. Culture is reflected poorly through the recruiting process.
