The recruiter gave me a verbal offer after rounds of interviews, then backtracked days later and basically went, "just kidding - the team got a referral that they want to interview", and promised to get back to me on a certain date. I followed up after receiving no answer on the promised date, and was told they went with the new person. I think the experience speaks for itself.

Interview was lengthy but I enjoyed speaking to everyone on the team. I was interviewed by most members of the team and then gave a presentation on my portfolio. Offer process was straightforward and I was kept up to date on the process.
